Micanopy historic district is worth a visit as there are so many interesting buildings. Many of the older buildings here are unique to the area. Dedicated on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983, Cholokka Boulevard, where this house sits was once an Indian trading route, is Micanopy’s main street, and the Town’s primary tourist destination known for its antique shops. Micanopy’s eclectic mix of authentic rustic storefronts lure casual shoppers, collectors, seasonal scouts from all over the country. Micanopy has some of the loveliest, majestic oak trees and historic small churches. Many "cracker" houses survive here.
