Artist's Description
As you look at this photo it may surprise you that this lovely little park is in the middle of Florida's most densely populated county. Cliff Stephens Park is in Pinellas County, Florida. It is managed as part of the Southwest Florida Water Management District. It is located in Clearwater, Florida. It is 44 acres (180,000 m2) in size. The park provides for stormwater and flood management, and includes trails for bicycling, hiking and inline skating, as well as opportunities for boating, fishing, frisbee golf, a 19 station exercise course, and picnic area. When I first did my morning run through the park, it somehow felt that I was in the midst of a miniature version of the Everglades. It really took my breath away...the loveliness of this little patch of wilderness in the midst of the city. From here you can get on a bicycle trail that in a few years will network with trails that travel all the way across the state...tying together more little bits of wild lands.
About L Bosco
I love to tell stories. About twenty years ago I had my first freelance travel article accepted by a magazine. Much to my surprise, the magazine expected photos along with words. I had not taken any during the preliminary work for my article. I drove back to the site and took the photos for the article with my little Olympus digital camera. The article was published with those very amateur photos. In time, I bought an Olympus OMD-EM5, a great camera for nature and travel photographers and discovered that I enjoyed telling stories with pictures more than I did with words. The last twenty year have been an incredibly exciting time as resources for photographers have exploded. I have been lucky enough to have some great teachers along the way...
